While I love PokerStars, I don't think it loves me back. Let me set the stage: Single table $5 SNG and I make it to the final two. I have my opponent all-in several times and I could not win a single race! Here are some of the hands (my hand listed first):
A7s vs Kd6h - First hand heads up I win Aces up. Opponent is down to T1,225.
K7h vs Ac6d - He goes all-in and I call. Board - 6cQd10h9h2c - I miss my flush and my straight draws. I guess I deserved that one but I had to call.
103d vs Q10c - Flop 6c6s10s, turn 5c, river 2c. I guess I was doomed after the flop but he sure didn't need to get that runner runner flush, right?
So now we are dead even.
8c2h vs 10h8s - Big pot for me with the board 2d3cQc2c10s. I have trip 2s. Next hand I get 8d2c again and fold. A bunch of hands go bye in which we fold the blinds to each other (I had A10s and 8s in those hands but got no action). I win a nice pot with JsJd.
6c6h vs Khjd - I get him all in pre-flop and he get Jacks full. Ugh! A few more hands get folded in which I have some nice pocket pairs.
Ad10d vs 10h8S - I get him all-in again and avoid his straight. He has T800 left with 200/400 blinds 25 ante. Next hand I get 4h2d and fold to his all-in. Maybe this is where I should have called.
J5o vs Q7o - I put him all-in and we both make a club flush, he has the Q and I have the 5. He now has T2,225.
A9o vs KQo - All-in, he hits Kd on the turn. I then get a series of 95o and fold. I win a hand with pocket 2s and have the lead again T10,150 vs T2,700. We go back and forth until the next hand:
QhQc vs As5d - You know the story - All-in he flops the Ah to take the lead. I win a couple of small pots but then:
QsJh vs As3d - Board has only 3 hearts and the turn is a 3 which seals it.

No Love
Blogger Tourney
Post Edit: PokerStars just let me know that since my blog has not been up for 2 months I can't play in their game. So screw them and their banner is gone.
PokerStars is really doing a great job at differentiating itself from the riff-raff poker sites out there (TitanPoker - you know I am talking about you!).

Last Night
Well last night was a big bust. I lost all my SNG's and other tournaments. I need to pay more attention to the game and not watch TV or load the dishwasher when I play. And I need to cut out the aggressive crap. I always get into trouble because I am too aggressive.
I played in a 45 seat turbo SNG and after taking a very bad beat early on was down to just T25, which was good enough to cover the small blind. I tried to wait for a good hand to call with and eventually just went all-in with 7-4o with about 5 callers. I got real lucky and ended up with a full boat 7's over 4's. So now I am up to T125, but the blinds have gone up again. I won another all-in multi pot and was up to T375. And then another to get to T1,200. That could have been an amazing comeback, but I went all in with Q-Q and lost to A-J.
Then in a satellite to the 500K guaranteed I had doubled up twice with J-J only to get knocked out with A-J vs A-Q.
