So once again, I might be stating the obvious here or shooting myself in the foot. I registered to PokerXFactor a long time ago to post some hand histories and watch some of the free videos they had at the time. Since then I haven't used it much except for the odd times when they have some new promos and free videos. I don't have lucko's or sprstoner's bankrolls (or game) where I can just fork over the subscription fee.
But these guys have been posting links to some of their tourneys and hands that are available on PXF. And once in a while I will sit through and watch a full SNG or MTT just to get an understanding of how these guys play, and maybe some of it will rub off on me.
Then I noticed that even though the site says that to watch an MTT hand playback I need to be a subscriber, I can still get in with just being a registered user. So I went in and started digging around and found a goldmine of posted MTT histories. The new player is OUTSTANDING and gives you an easy way to navigate through hundreds of hands to find the wins, loses, premium, etc. hands. It shows the M as well as lots of additional stats.
And then I found Annette_15 who is the top ranked online player right now on PocketFives. She has posted some of her tourney wins including a $1K win on FTP. It is pretty fascinating to go through her hands and see how she plays. The first thing I noticed is that she plays very tight early on and avoids confrontations. She also only plays hands in position. And she gets lucky sometimes, but not ALL the time.
So what? There's really nothing new here. Well my real lesson, I guess, is discipline. So remember:
1. Play tight.
2. Avoid unnecessary confrontations.
3. Play in position.
4. Stay focused and disciplined.

I'm just now catching up on my blogroll reading so I'll make multiple comments in this one:
I really enjoyed the New Orleans recaps. I liked the player descriptions.
Awesome job on the Ferguson!
I may have to check out your "electro-music" collection to see if its the same thing I think I'm a fan of listening.
Another congrats for your performance in the Riverchasers.
That is all, I'll see you some time later when you're in town.
