This is a little different because it was more of an "inducing action" than an actual squeeze. I had seen Smurfakazi on another table and I thought I could get someone in trouble by betting out:
FullTiltPoker Game #3469516890: $5 + $0.50 Sit & Go (26514335), Table 1 - 20/40 - No Limit Hold'em - 13:55:28 ET - 2007/09/05

Kajagugu bets 240 - With 4 players in the pot this is obviously a stupid way to lose chips, but I figured this will create a lot of action behind me.
JohnFlys folds
Smurfakazi has 15 seconds left to act
Smurfakazi calls 240 - He flat calls so I know he has something.
AnaheimGirl raises to 4,450, and is all in - And this aggressive girl falls into the trap.
Kajagugu folds
Smurfakazi calls 715, and is all in
AnaheimGirl shows [9s 3h]
Smurfakazi shows [2d Ad] - She has 4 outs.
Uncalled bet of 3,495 returned to AnaheimGirl

Chip leader just got cut in half making it much easier for everyone to play.
However, you just dropped 20% of your stack making it much harder for yourself.
It looks like you sacrificed some of your tournament equity and helped spread it around the table.
Klopzi, you're right that I committed a big percentage of my stack here. It was not just in order to induce the action but to also allow me to potentially take down the pot if the flop was too scary for the other players. This is not something I do often and is a pretty marginal move that costs me a lot of chips.
kaja -
Sounds good. I don't doubt you're ability to play MTTs or take them down, since it's something you do quite often.
Thanks for clearing that up.
