So last night I try to type up some stuff and my 17" monitor starts to flicker and basically dies. Tried rebooting. Tried disconnecting. Reconnecting. Nothing. The fucker just turns on and as soon as the screen starts to show something the power goes off.
Off to Costco I headed this morning with KajaKid to see what they had in stock. We walk up to the line of monitors and KajaKid says: Look at the 3 pretty birdies. Get the birdies. Get the birdies.
I was actually looking at a Samsung model which was about $50 cheaper and even took a box off the shelf. She wouldn't let it go and even tried to get one of the boxes down herself. So I gave it a second thought and found out that the ViewSonic VX2255wmb had speakers and a 1.3 megapixel webcam. Nice. I only hope it doesn't lead to anything like this.
I am all ready for the FTOPS ME now. Now that I can see what's on the screen, that is. Thanks to all those who wished me luck.

New monitors, keyboards, mice, chairs etc are always good for poker players I think. Helps you re-focus on your game and have fun. That is a nice monitor though!

I remember you told me about that DELL. $1,400 is a bit steep for me right now. Maybe after tomorrow :-)
I wouldn't be able to really use a 30" monitor because I am using my business laptop which is one of those tiny ones and I don't think it can go above 1680x1050 anyway.
When I finally quit my stupid job and get a normal PC I will make sure it has the horsepower to handle a bigger screen.

A bigger monitor is better tho. Love my 22" LG flatscreen!
