So much to get to (part 2)

I managed to play some poker on Saturday night. I was getting killed by the NLHE RNG on both FTP and Stars (all the money went in on the turn, oh, joy):

So I decided to switch things up a bit and donk it up with some HORSE and Razz. I was leading a big $1 Razz MTT on Stars and then managed to eliminate myself close to the bubble. In the meantime I was also leading the HORSE $5 on FTP. Here are some fun hands:

This hand plays itself and the only bet I didn't get called on was the river. I was getting some awful lag and every decision seemed to take forever but I didn't get a chance to show this beauty to the table either. I hate network lag tilt. I also enjoyed sitting to the right of The Poker Enthusiast.

This next hand shows how bad the players are at these stakes and format. Myself included:

This was an awesome hand that I got max profit from. One thing I did was to not bet double when my pair showed on fourth street. Check out the HH below:

Kajagugu completes it to 150 - I complete to try to get heads-up. I think this is standard right?
sochoprumble has 15 seconds left to act
sochoprumble folds
denverajp calls 150 - Only other big stack decides to stick around. He has a higher card showing but I think if he had a pair he would re-raise here. This could get costly for one of us.

*** 4TH STREET ***
Dealt to Kajagugu [9c Ks 9s] [9h] - ZOMG!
Dealt to denverajp [Tc] [Ah]
Kajagugu bets 150 - Here I had the option to bet 150 or 300 with my pair showing. I chose to bet 150 and draw some more money into the pot. Right? Wrong?
denverajp raises to 450 - I figure he either has 2 pair here or maybe just paired his ace.
Kajagugu raises to 750 - I have to re-raise to see where I'm at.
checker-pete: ok next hand is the one
denverajp calls 300 - He just calls, so I might still be ahead here.
*** 5TH STREET ***
Dealt to Kajagugu [9c Ks 9s 9h] [2s]
Dealt to denverajp [Tc Ah] [Ad] - Crap! I hope he didn't just make trip Aces.
denverajp bets 300 - Obvious bet with a pair of aces showing.
Kajagugu calls 300 - I am going to see what happens on6th street.
*** 6TH STREET ***
Dealt to Kajagugu [9c Ks 9s 9h 2s] [Kc] - ZOMG again!
Dealt to denverajp [Tc Ah Ad] [4h]
denverajp bets 300 - I really hope he has trip Aces now.
Kajagugu raises to 600 - Mo' Money!
denverajp calls 300 - He slows down, he may have figured he is behind.
*** 7TH STREET ***
Dealt to Kajagugu [9c Ks 9s 9h 2s Kc] [8c]
denverajp checks
Kajagugu bets 300 - One more big bet with my boat.
denverajp calls 300 - He has to call if he can beat a pair of 9s.
*** SHOW DOWN ***
Kajagugu shows [Ks 9c 9s 9h 2s Kc 8c] a full house, Nines full of Kings
denverajp mucks
Kajagugu wins the pot (4,450) with a full house, Nines full of Kings
*** SUMMARY ***

Seat 4: sochoprumble folded on 3rd St.
Seat 5: denverajp mucked [Qc 5c Tc Ah Ad 4h 3h] - a pair of Aces - You have to be kidding, dude. All those chips with just a pair of Aces that I can see? I am the worst Stud player on the planet, but I would not keep betting if I can't beat a pair of Aces.
Seat 6: domino55 folded on 3rd St.
Seat 7: checker-pete folded on 3rd St.
Seat 8: amysue2 folded on 3rd St.

So that was nice. I got more money from this guy when he could not let go of his big slick:

Then it all fell apart in about three hands. Be were on the bubble and I guess I could have let a lot of these hands go, but I was not going to sit on my hands. Here I missed the low draw against a short stack when I had a 5 low on 5th street:

Then these two fools drew out on me on the river by both getting deuces. One made two pair for the high and the other made a 7 low:

Then on my final hand I get split Aces against another player with split Aces:

And after leading this thing for most of the tournament I bubble in 17th out of 133:

Turned off the damn laptop and went to sleep.

Tonight is a special MATH which Hoy has decided to make a $10 rebuy. I am not sure I love this format, because it gives the high-rollers a much bigger edge. We'll just have to see what happens. I expect a lower turnout as well as a lot of people refusing to rebuy more than one or two times. Not sure if I will partake in this one.

Chad is right. I didn't mean high-rollers as in people who play for high stakes. I meant people who have bankrolls that can support some insanity. Or more than the usual Hoy insanity. Two double rebuys and an add-on would make it a double Hoy buy-in.
