Poker Books

Has anyone heard anything about the new "Gus Hansen: Every Hand Revealed" book? Looks like it's coming out at the end of the month. Is this the book he's been writing where he kept muttering into his dictation device at the tables? I wonder if it will be any good.

And while I'm asking questions, has anyone read "Kill Phil" or "Kill Everyone"?

If you could recommend one book about tournaments (other than Harrington, Brunson and Gordon books), what would it be?

The three book set by Harrington is probably the best tournament book series I've ever read. To me, this is the foundation on which you can really understand the tournament game and then find your own niche.

Joe Navarro's book "Read'em and Reap" has probably made me more money in live games than any other book. I've probably made back the purchase price on that one.

Yes, Hansen's book is based on all those mutterings. They great thing about this book is it explains every single hand he played (not folded) in the Aussie Millions tournament that he won. Why he did this, what his thoughts were.

I would think it will be a great read, I already pre-ordered it.

I agree with OhCaptain that Harrington series is the best.

Nnavarro's Book is good but is just for live play.

Hope that helps.

Kill Everyone is the next book I plan on reading. The table of contents makes me think it is going to be a very strong book, but who knows? I will let you know.

Not sure if I would read Kill Everyone since I thought Kill Phil was such a waste of time.

I thought The Poker Tournament Formula presented some solid ideas that are not present in many other books about poker tournaments.

Erick Lindgren's WPT book is not great but as I recall there are a few nice gems in there as well about tournament play, and it's a quick read.
