A little poker (3/45)

I had some time tonight to fire up good 'old FTP and see if I can start rebuilding my measly bankroll. I only had about a buck and a half so I found a 45-peep SNG that was about to start and hopped right in. I was the chip-leader for most of the tournament but right before the final table I got hit by my first 3-outer beat. Then at the FT I couldn't get anything going and had to sit on my hands for a while.

All of a sudden we were down to 5 (6 spots paying) and I barely had any chips left. I started jamming and stealing the blinds. Then one of the other shorties decided to call me with weaker aces than mine and we ended up chopping two consecutive pots when the board double paired and then once again when the board paired and came all high. I eventually took him out with 33 when he shoved with KTo.

Down to three and I was still the shortie and started shoving whenever I had something decent. Big stack eventually called my A2o SB shove with A6o and I was done:

So, my short foray back into poker-dome went better than expected. I turned my $1.25 into $7.20 which is a not too shabby ROI of 476%. And it took just under 2 hours to complete. Time well spent.

That the tournament I like to call the bankroll builder. Nice job! You're on your way!
